There are various ways to add value to wool. Wool roving is a piece of wool that has been washed and combed into a clump and twisted to hold the fibers together. Flattened roving is known as batting. Rovings are used for spinning, felting, stuffing, padding, and various craft projects. Wool can be processed one step further and made into yarn. Cormo sheep produce an exceptional amount of soft, dense white wool with a 16-23 micron range. Staple length 2 ½ inches - 4 inches long. Their fleece is resistant to fleece rot. Excellent for hand spinning and felting. 2. Meat Advantages of Cormo Sheep. Cormo sheep grow fast and produce excellent flavored lamb products. Woolen on the left; worsted on the right. The samples were spun from a short length of fiber that I split vertically, so I was working with the same colors on both. Follow these simple steps and you'll be out of the laundry in no time. Turn your wool garment inside out, then hand wash in clean, lukewarm water, approximately 30°C, using a mild and gentle detergent. Allow to soak for a period of 10 minutes before rinsing thoroughly firstly in lukewarm water, then finally in cold water.
